New Direction, New Company
When I started this blog a few years ago, it was with the idea that I could use it to create an online presence for myself in the kitesurfing community. I have been fortunate enough to be able to do that and I think I can say that this blog has been successful for me.
Since that time, I have wanted more and more to have a personal blog for myself to not only document my adventures with kitesurfing..but also with traveling, trying new things, meeting new people…anything and everything.
If you have been following this blog, you will know that I have moved to South America-Chile specifically…starting a new chapter in my life. I have wanted to start a kiteboarding school for some time now and, really, I have wanted to have my own business for a long, long time (perhaps I am too stubborn to do anything else!).
I would like to introduce Gente del Viento Boardsports, a school for kitesurfing, landboarding, SUP, Snowboarding, Snowkiting and a travel service for kiters. I would have never thought that I would open a school somewhere outside of the Caribbean..or even Southern Asia, but life takes you on a different path sometimes (or most times in my case)! This change has been fortunate for me as my school can now have a scope that I had not imagined…truly being able to offer everything that I could have wanted.
If you have followed and supported this blog, I want to thank you. There will be a new direction with lenebaxter.com..a slightly more personal one. Posts related to the sports covered with Gente del Viento will be redirected to that website. If these posts were something you enjoyed, I encourage you to follow that website as well.
We are still building the site and, if you visit the page, you can see we have a lot of work to do. At some point in the very near future, most of the website will be converted to Spanish. However, I will also provide more condensed English translations of the pages and a separate page for the English translations of the blog posts.
As for this blog, a post about our recent trip to Colombia is upcoming!!!
